We are delighted to announce that Robin White has joined Discrimination Law as a new contributor.
Robin is one of the leading barristers in transgender rights and has appeared in a number of notable cases in that area. She has completely rewritten our coverage of the protected characteristic of gender reassignment, as you will see from the forthcoming issue.
Robin practices at Old Square Chambers in all aspects of employment and discrimination law, particularly transgender rights. She acts for employers and employees and Chambers & Partners has described her as ‘the go to lawyer for trans cases’. She lectures regularly on the subject and has published ‘A practical guide to transgender law’ in May 2021, written with Nicola Newbegin. In September 2020 Robin was named ‘Barrister of the Week’ by The Lawyer Magazine for her work on the Taylor v Jaguar Land Rover case – a leading case about transgender discrimination.
General Editors Employment Judge Pauline Hughes and Andrew Burns QC said “We are delighted to be joined by a leading expert in transgender rights and know that Robin’s input will be invaluable in helping us to ensure that our coverage of discrimination law is second to none”.
